Cervantes’ is at it again with another great double header: two nights of Perpetual Groove with a plethora of special guests taking up both Cervantes’ Masterpiece and The Other Side.
What better way to spend Halloween weekend than with the unique, genre-spanning sounds of Perpetual Groove? They somehow mix trance, progressive rock, R&B, neo-psychedelia and many more into one sound that is…well…perpetually groovy. Words can’t quite do them justice; listen for yourself:
On Friday, catch The Orb, Aqueous, Ben Silver (Orchard Lounge), Pho and Fun Factor as openers. On Saturday, theNEWDEAL with Aqueous, ICHISAN and Rose Hips will support.
TheNEWDEAL is a three-piece electronic band that has been jamming since 1998. They are also hard to categorize, as their music spans quite a few labels within the electronic realm, but they have dubbed themselves as “progressive breakbeat house.”
The Orb’s history reaches back even further, all the way to 1988 when the first two members started out at ambient and dub DJs in London. They are known as the pioneers of ambient house music, paving the way for many of your favorite artists today. There’s no substitution for talent that decades of playing have earned these two groups; you must come see for yourself.
Tickets are $27 in advance for one night or $32 day of show. If you’re like us and want to hit up both nights, two-night tickets are $50 in advance or $55 day of. This is an ages 16 and up show so invite all of your friends. Put on that Halloween costume and come groove all night long with us!
