The man, the myth, the legend — if you’re not familiar with Herbie Hancock, it’s time to get schooled.
Herbie Hancock is a multi-talented musician who was one of the first jazz musicians to work with synthesizers and produce funk music. He plays keyboard and piano, composes his own music, is most known for his time spent in the Miles Davis Quintet, though his many collaborations made him famous with a variety of audiences.
Hear for yourself:
Now, hear his music reimagined by Dominic Lalli of Big Gigantic; Dave Watts, Joey Porter and Garrett Sayers of The Motet; and Dan Schwindt of Kyle Hollingsworth Band at Cervantes’ Masterpiece on July 29, 2017.
The night will open with the return of Casey Russell & The Soul Shack who put on a magical show at Cervantes’ when they were there earlier this month.
