Any time a monumental band like Phish plans to take over Denver for a 3-night run, thousands of people flood into Colorado for an epic weekend of partying, music and mountains. Phish is taking over Dicks Sporting Goods Park for their annual Colorado run August 30th-September 1st. Many friends are taking in pals for the weekend that are traveling in from out-of-state for this legendary weekend Labor Day weekend with Phish. Epic collaboration, lots of parties, and excited Phans roaming throughout Denver is to be expected!

Herbie Hancock Tribute

If you didn’t get tickets to the Phish shows, or just want to afterparty,, head to Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom after the Saturday show for  the Herbie Hancock Tribute – Phish After Show, ft. Joey Porter, Garrett Sayers, Dave Watts, and Drew Sayers of The Motet;  and Dan Schwindt from The Kyle Hollingsworth Band. This legendary tribute will keep the energy high throughout the night at the best place for late night parties!

Labor Day Weekend Fireworks


Date & Time: Sept 1st 10 p.m.- 10:30 p.m.

This fireworks show hosted in central Denver will light up the sky for a  30 minute extravaganza. Visible from almost all of Denver, these lights over Elitch’s Garden will commemorate Labor Day weekend and all the festivities associated with it! The show is sponsored by Pepsi and will begin at park closing time.


Beer, Bacon and Bluegrass

  • Where? Black Shirt Brewing Co. 


Date & Time: Saturday, August 31st

This event will feature free bacon samples from Tender Belly (also pounds of bacon for sale), special bacon-centric items fresh from the BSB kitchen, and killer live bluegrass presented  by the Black Shirt Brewing Co. pallet stage. BSB’s daily menu of pizza, apps, and salads will be available as well. This event is free and open to the public. The featured band Rusty 44 is a traditional 5-piece NoCo-area acoustic bluegrass/Americana roots band that plays up and down the Front Range of Colorado. Comprised of musicians from Ft. Collins, Greeley, and Windsor, the band has been playing together for more than 5 years.
