Shpongle is a psychedelic downtempo or “Psybient” music project featuring members Simon Posford (aka Hallucinogen) and Raja Ram (one third of The Infinity Project). Simon handles production, instrumentation and programming, while Raja Ram is the flautist and Cunning Linguist. They DJ separately and together, and the SHPONGLEDROID tour will be Shpongle (Simon Posford LIVE) on a 32-channel mixing board, synths, and more. Amazing support for this gig is added by eclectic artists Desert Dwellers, Goopsteppa, and Supersillyus at the legendary Fillmore Auditorium – downtown Denver.

Goose has been touring throughout the country selling out shows alongside The Disco Biscuits, Pigeons Playing Ping Pong, Moe. and Sunsquabi. This also sold-out show will highlight the Norwalk, CT quartet comprised of Rick Mitarotonda (vocals, guitar), Peter Anspach (vocals, keyboards/guitar), Trevor Bass (bass), and Ben Atkind (drums). Goose’ music is described as “the culmination of a rich history between friends of differing ages and experiences from the same small town in Connecticut, drawn together through a deep love of music and storytelling.”

Every first Saturday of the month, our beloved Denver Art Museum hosts a free night for all ages. They aim to celebrate your creativity on the Free First Saturday each month with bilingual activities for the whole family. Drop in and listen to the stories behind the objects with our master storyteller during Cuentos del Arte at 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Guests can also get inspired and create art in the galleries at the Create-n-Takes, or try new techniques in the Studio with bilingual staff. There are guided bilingual tours available as well.

Begin your holiday season at the spectacular 44th Annual 9NEWS Parade of Lights. The two-mile parade route in Downtown Denver is the stage for Colorado’s brightest holiday tradition.  This FREE holiday spectacular features marching bands, ornate floats, and, of course, a special appearance by Major Waddles the Penguin and Santa! Grab your hot chocolate and ear-muffs, this year is said to be their biggest event yet.

This event also has the possibly to feature gingerbread houses, ice-skating, and holding hands, so don’t be a Cotton-Headed Ninnymuggins and get down to the Growler Pub  to spread the love of all things Elf.
