Have Bluegrass, Will Travel – The Travelin’ McCourys Come with Stringed Friends to Cervantes this Saturday
If you consider yourself a bluegrass fan then you are likely familiar with the McCoury name. Led by Ronnie (mandolin, vocals) and Rob McCoury (banjo) — the sons of bluegrass legend Del McCoury – The Travelin’ McCourys began as Del‘s backing band. Fiddler Jason Carter, bassist Alan Bartram, and guitarist Cody Kilby join the McCoury brothers to form the recently Grammy nominated Travelin’ McCourys.
This Saturday Dec 15, The Travelin’ McCourys come back to Denver to play Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom. They are joined by Pick & Howl and Scott Slay & The Rail, two local Denver bluegrass band, which has been pinging the bluegrass radar for a lot of local fans recently – both winning people over with their blending of traditional and progressive bluegrass elements.
The Travelin’ McCourys warm our heart every time we see them and we are very excited for an incredible night of good ol’ Colorado Bluegrass at Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom.
