Trying to decide what to do on NYE can be stressful — don’t worry, we gotchu.
Perhaps you’re just not a fan of paying outrageous prices for a cHaMpAgNe ToAsT (seriously, who is?!). Or maybe you’re just a wee music fan that isn’t old enough to have the right to pay outrageous prices for a cHaMpAgNe ToAsT, but still old enough to know damn good music when you hear it. Either way, join us in Boulder at the legendary Fox Theatre for Amoramora, Flash Mountain Flood, and Banshee Tree to ring in 2018!
Boulder-based Amoramora has only been around since 2016, but has caught quick attention, most recently opening on the Pigeons Playing Ping Pong tour. They’ve dubbed their live shows “cosmic dance parties” and they aren’t wrong. There’s a little something to take every attendee to the moon, as they play versatilely across psychedelic jam, funk, and bluegrass genres, and in the groovy spaces between.
Perhaps best of all, who doesn’t wanna be part of a fandom known as “Amorons?!” The band itself is compiled of four members with their trusty companions: guitar, keyboard, trumpet, EWI, bass, and drums. All four almost harmonize, an especially impressive skillset as they are known to improvise often.
They sold out The Fox Theatre in May of 2017, the first time they headlined, and they’re sure to do it again so grab tickets for only $15 advance, $18 day of. You won’t find a better way to spend NYE, and that hold true in many aspects.
Doors are a 8, the show begins at 8:45 and again, all ages welcome here (attendees 14 and under must have parent with them to enter)! Learn more on the Facebook event page and don’t forget to RSVP and tell your friends!
Happy New Year’s and let’s start 2018 on a positive vibe, y’all!
